She is a virtuous woman of God...

May is the month we honor our Mother’s in America, Australia, New Zealand, India, Canada, Mexico and South Africa.

I believe what every woman should see is that she is a mother (in a sense) when she invests in the lives of others. Look at Mother Teresa, although she never bore children, she was a mother to many. What gave her and so many others this distinction…she was a virtuous woman of God.

The problem with many of us is that we are trying to become someone God already made us to be in Christ. As we think about the woman described in Proverbs 31, most of us think it is useless. How in the word could we ever be that women? In the natural realm it is not possible. This is why God sent Jesus. Jesus became sin so we would be made the righteousness of God in him. Another word for righteous is virtuous.

When the question is asked about a virtuous woman, we can say we are one, if we have made Jesus the Lord of our life. He made us righteous/virtuous. Instead of working at becoming something that we already are, we must believe we are and act on it. The more we think about the fact that we are virtuous, the more we will see the evidence of it in our lives.

This doesn’t mean we do all the things the woman in Proverbs 31 did. Some of it is obsolete, like making yarn. We must see beyond all the works and see what kind of woman she was or should I say the kind of woman we are!!

What are some of the qualities we possess as virtuous, intelligent, capable women of God?

The list goes on, but I hope you get the picture. Look at these words. Think about them. It is a picture of who we already are in Christ. Joshua 1:8 tells us to meditate on God’s word and then we will see ourselves doing it. It doesn’t come by trying to do it without meditating on what God says. That’s works!!! It manifests in our lives as we put our faith in what God did for us in Christ and thinking about it.

I pray you’ll take some time to think about what God says about you. Always remember that He made you a virtuous woman!

I am a capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman.
I am more precious than jewels and my value is far above rubies or pearls.

A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman—
who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels,
and her
value is far above rubies or pearls. Proverbs 31:10, AMP

Jesus, the risen Lord and Savior, is coming back for a glorious Church. Who is this marvelous Church? It is those who do His will in faith ... the Body of Christ ... you and me ... those who are awaiting His return with expectation and reverence.

15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:15-18, 22-23, NKJV)

Let’s pray together for those who don’t know Jesus:

“Our Father of glory, we pray for laborers to come across the paths of those who do not know you. We pray that we would be bold and loving to speak the word to those who do not know you because we know it is your desire that we all come to repentance. Holy Spirit, we ask that you reveal yourself to them. Thank you, Lord, that the word that  has been sown in people produces fruit and that the truth of your word sets them free.”

35 For whoever does the things God wills is My brother and sister and mother! (Mark 3:35, AMP)

Let’s pray for the Church of the Lord Jesus, the Body of Christ:

Pray for the Body where you meet every week locally and the Body of Christ around the world. Jesus is coming back for this amazing Bride. Paul gave thanks to the Lord when he heard of the Church’s faith in the Lord Jesus and their love for one another. He asked that the Father would give them wisdom and that their eyes would be enlightened to know the hope of His calling!

“Father God, your body comes into a more intimate relationship with You, that we will know You, believe Your Word and be doers of Your Word. May we see You face to face. Thank you for giving us a spirit of wisdom, knowledge and revelation of You. Enlighten our eyes. May we have eyes to see, hears to hear and a heart that understands You.”

“You are coming soon, may Your Bride prepare for Your arrival. Let us long for You as a deer pants for water. Let us seek for You as for hidden treasure! Father, please help us to keep our eyes on You, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Let us not grow weary in well doing, but be steadfast and see You more clearly each day. Let us set our faces like flint, and not turn aside from You to the left or to the right. Father, we pray that people will come into your Church and be committed to You, that they will truly seek after You and lay aside every weight that would easily beset us. I pray your resurrection life rises within your Body. Thank you that we grow in the knowledge and understanding of your love for us so that we can love and serve you more. I pray that we would have a passion for you and your kingdom and that your glory is revealed in Yor Church!!! There is none like You! No one compares to You. Release the power of Your Spirit that is able to raise us from the dead! Let us walk in Your love towards all people we come into contact with. Help us to forgive.”

“We pray that religion and doubt is broken in Jesus Name! Let your Church awaken from our slumber and reach out to You, to see You as You truly are. Lord, give your Bride boldness to speak Your Word; that people would be set free, that bondages are broken, that people are healed, set free and delivered. Thank You that we hear Your Voice, the Voice of the Good Shepherd, and the voice of the stranger we will not follow.”

“Let the glory fall .. That the latter glory will, be greater than the former. Stretch our Your hand to perform signs and wonders ... Let Your Word go forth!! Let the seed of Your Word germinate in the heart of every man, woman and child. Let us be transformed by the renewing of our minds by Your Word. May we, your Church reveal your character. Let us lay down our own agendas and follow your Spirit and move as one in UNITY; despising the fake, the lies, and pursue You in Spirit and in truth. Let us walk in faith, believing You and Your Word.”

“Please give our pastors wisdom and insight into your Word by Your Spirit. Please protect them and strengthen them in their inner man. Thank You, Lord, that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned. Thank You, Lord, that they are strong and courageous, and that their bodies are healed and well.Let them rest in You and let them see the salvation of the Lord. Please bless them Lord, and give them favor wherever they go.”

“I pray that any coldness of heart would be revealed and that we would be kind and tenderhearted. Thank you for revelation of your will. Give us boldness to persevere. I pray we will live ready for your coming, Lord. My prayer is that we will follow You and Your Word with greater revelation and determination, in Jesus Name.”

The Spirit is calling the Church to arise, to prepare for the return of the Great King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Will you respond to Him? Will you lay down your life, and walk in obedience to the King? Will you walk in unity with your brothers and sisters that are under the authority of Jesus and His leaders? Will you sit with Him in heavenly realms?

16 I, Jesus, have sent My messenger (angel) to you to witness and to give you assurance of these things for the churches (assemblies). I am the Root (the Source) and the Offspring of David, the radiant and brilliant Morning Star.
17 The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost. (Revelation 22:16-17, AMP)
