God's Love

February, the month of LOVE!!!!

Recently as I have been meditating on God’s love I realized I do not believe what I say I do. I am growing in the knowledge of God’s love for me and know I will throughout eternity because God is love and He is eternal. I’ve come to a new place of revelation that was eye-opening for me. We sing songs from the bible that say, “God’s love is better than life” or “A day in your courts Is better than a thousand anywhere else.” If I truly believed this, then I wouldn’t get so upset when things don’t go y way in a relationship because my relationship with God would mean more to me than anything. It’s been quite eye-opening for me

Over the past year I have really allowed the rejections I have experienced from being in the ministry to get to me. It paralyzed me in many ways. I would fight with myself about reaching out to others because I did nit want to experience another rejection. I knew the right things to tell myself, but wasn’t believing them in my heart. This was causing a downward spiral that was getting the best of me. I knew the right things to do, but wasn’t acting on them the way I should. It takes a lot of diligence to move when you want to go upstream, but the river is taking you downstream.

I began to do Dr. Caroline Leaf’s brain detox. It gave me the practical tools to do what I needed to. Each day as I did the program, the Holy Spirit would minister different scriptures to me help bring healing. Scriptures concerning God’s love for me flooded my mind. I began to meditate on them. Some of them were scriptures I meditated on years ago, but wasn’t using them the way I did in the past. The truth of God’s word really does set us free.

Knowing God’s love for me in a deeper way has helped me tremendously. I feel like I have new life and I do because he gives us life abundantly!!! God’s mercies are new every morning! Great is his faithfulness!

I hope as you read this you are encouraged. As you meditate on the weekly scriptures, they will give you greater revelation of God’s love for you. Always keep in mind that “the Father himself tenderly loves and cares for you.” John 16:27

You are LOVED, you are CHOSEN, you are REDEEMED and CALLED into relationship with Almighty God. Your life has PURPOSE. You are NOT FORGOTTEN!

As you come before the Lord in prayer, remember who God says you are, remember that He created you in His image and likeness, HE HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE!

"See what [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him.

Beloved, we are [even here and] now God’s children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God’s children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is."  (1 John 3:1-2, AMP)

The Father God has shown so much love towards us! He has GIVEN the LIFE of His Son to demonstrate His love for us. When you pray for others, you demonstrate the love of the Father for them. Jesus is presently interceding for us. As you pray for your Pastor, your boss, your husband, your children, your family, your neighbors, the strangers on the street; you are standing in the gap and displaying the love of God for others! We are to emit the LOVE OF GOD that has been shed abroad in our hearts! When we are in His presence; through worshiping the Lord, prayer and reading His Word; His love is brought to completion in us! Mark and I are yearning for His presence.

"In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].

We love Him, because He first loved us."  (1 John 4:17-19, AMP)

Jesus loves people, His goal was to restore mankind to the Father and to set people free from fear, bondage, sickness and death. In Luke 8:40-56 a Roman Centurion came to Jesus to ask him to come to his house to heal his 12 year old daughter (the same age as our Shaylee) and SHE WILL LIVE. THOSE ARE WORDS OF FAITH.

While they are pushing through the crowd, a woman crawls up to Jesus and lays her hand on the border of his garment (prayer shawl) and says, “If I can just touch his garment, I will be made well.” Jesus only did and said what the Father told him to do. The Father told Jesus to go with that man. So as they are pressing through the crowd and the lady touched him, He felt the power go out of Him. And He said, “Who touched Me?” HE KNEW THAT VIRTUE - DUNAMIS, MIRACULOUS POWER had been drawn from Him - it was the ANOINTING of GOD! But He didn’t cause it to flow - SHE DID. So Jesus stopped and because Jairus had spoken in faith, he was not in a hurry.

He could have been upset if he were in fear. But he kept his mouth shut and continued standing in faith that his little girl would live! Jesus  stopped and listened to her as she gave her testimony and Jesus said, “Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” Jesus called this woman “Daughter” and then declared that “Your faith has made you whole” which was interesting to Jairus who was standing right beside Jesus. 1 John 3:1 ... Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!

Then while he was speaking, someone came from his house and told Jairus, “Your daughter is dead, don’t trouble the Master.” Jesus heard that. He didn’t even give Jairus an opportunity to answer. Jesus spoke to Jairus and did not deal with DEATH, He did not deal with PRAYER, He did not deal with the ANOINTING, He dealt with FEAR!

"But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole." (Luke 8:50, KJV)

Jesus turned to Jairus and said, “STOP THE FEAR! ... BELIEVE ONLY .... AND SHE SHALL BE MADE WHOLE!” Then He headed towards his house and commanded her to arise, and her spirit came again and she arose straightway.

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7, AMP)

When you pray, pray in faith with love for those you pray for. Don’t pray out of fear, begging God to change the circumstances. Stop the fear, release the worry to God! Fear will cripple you, faith energizes you! FAITH PLEASES GOD! Do all you do out of FAITH and LOVE! Walk in His Love - You are a daughter (or son) of God!
